Man charged in death of pedestrian on Big River First Nation

RCMP have charged a 50-year-old man in connection with the death of a pedestrian on the Big River First Nation last month. 

The man is scheduled to make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today on charges of failing to remain at the scene, public mischief, and obstruction of a police officer. 

RCMP and Big River EMS were called to a vehicle collision on the First Nation on Dec. 24 around 10:45 p.m. RCMP say the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
