Police arrest 10, seize drugs, guns in search of home

Prince Albert police arrested 10 people after a search of a home Friday night turned up drugs, money and guns.

More than 320 grams of crack cocaine, 60 grams of methamphetamine, money, a handgun and a revolver were seized in the search by the Prince Albert ISET and tactical units Friday. Police executed a search warrant on a residence in the 200 Block of 24th St. E. around 8:44 p.m.

Police say several men tried to escape the home but were arrested by police and the K9 unit.

Seven people are facing charges of possession of cocaine and meth for the purposes of trafficking, possession of property obtained by trafficking and 12 firearms-related charges. They include a 21-year-old man from Calgary, four Edmonton men aged 21, 23 and 24, a 33-year-old Prince Albert man, and a 21-year-old woman from Prince Albert.
