UPDATE: FedEx van suspect appears in court, new video

UPDATE: Brandon Roy is facing several charges in connection with this incident. Roy is scheduled to be back in court in Prince Albert Thursday.

Charges have now been laid in connection to Tuesday’s theft of a FedEx van in Prince Albert.
 
An 18-year-old man is scheduled to appear at Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning, facing nine charges including, two counts of assaulting a police officer, operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner, theft of a vehicle, and three breaches of previous court orders.
 
The van, which had been left idling while the driver was unloading, was taken from outside a business along Central Ave. The suspect allegedly took off for Hazeldell before ramming a police car on his way back through the city. The vehicle headed south on Second Ave. W before turning off on Highway 11 toward Saskatoon, travelling at a high rate of speed.
