Weapons found inside parked vehicle; two men charged

A rifle, hunting knife and a machete were found by Prince Albert police officers early Thursday morning inside a parked vehicle.
 
This happened at 1:15 a.m. in the 600 Block of 18th St. W. Two men from Prince Albert are now facing charges. 
 
A 27-year-old has been charged with two counts of assault on an officer with intent to resist lawful arrest. A 41-year-old has been charged with three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two other gun-related offenses.
 
Both men were scheduled to appear at Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday to answer to the charges. The names of the accused cannot be released until after they make their first court appearances.
