Emergency responders seek participants for charitable golf tournament

Jul 19, 2018 | 4:00 PM

First responders in Prince Albert are set to host a charitable golf tournament for the first time.

The Emergency Services Fundraiser Golf Tournament is set to tee off on August 30 at Cooke Municipal. All proceeds go to Osi-Can, a PTSD support group for first responders, and the Homeward Bound program through the YWCA.

“It’s a great thing where the three services, the Prince Albert Police, Prince Albert Fire Department and Parkland Ambulance have teamed up to raise some money and some funds to give back to the city we serve and love so much,” Chris Pacey, a Parkland Ambulance paramedic said.

Pacey said organizers are looking for teams to participate in the tournament. Teams can register by phoning a committee member, or emailing the Prince Albert Fire Department Charity.
