Police investigating Midtown shooting as murder after victim dies

A man shot in a Prince Albert alley last week has died in a Saskatoon Hospital.

The 28-year-old was shot in the face last Thursday on the 200 block of 9 St. E. Police said his death is being investigated as the first murder in Prince Albert in 2018.

Last week, police said no motive was clear, however, the shooting was not considered random. An eye-witness told paNOW they heard an argument breakout shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, before hearing shots soon after.  

An autopsy is expected to take place later this week.
