There will be children’s activities and clowns. Rich Miller, Java Time and a saxophone quartet from the Prince Albert City Band will perform in the lobby. At 3PM in the theatre the spotlight will be shining on rising stars from the area including Kyle Morris, Shania Cabilao, Relan Meeks, Allison Rae Strong, Samantha Burnouf and Tristen Durocher.

A special audiovisual montage looking back over the first 10 years of and an announcement of an exciting new Arts Board initiative will round out the day. EVERYONE IS INVITED TO THIS EVENT. ADMISSION IS FREE.

NEXT WEEK AT THE E. A.RAWLINSON CENTRE

October 31 at 7 PM, Rocklands Entertainment brings ‘Oh What a Night’ to the Olive and John Diefenbaker Theatre. Direct from Las Vegas, this is a musical tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

November 1, 7:30 PM- MISS CALEDONIA- A ONE PERSON PLAY-, Dora Award Winning actress and writer Melody Johnson brings her one- person play, Miss Caledonia, to the E. A. Rawlinson Centre. This is a critically acclaimed play which has been described as the girl version of ‘Wingfield Farm’. The story is about Melody Johnson’s mother, Peggy Ann Douglas, who in an attempt to escape the drudgery of her life on an Ontario farm in the 1950’s, entered as many pageants as possible with the hope that, like starlet Debbie Reynolds, she’d end up in Hollywood. Melody performs with Allison Porter who provides a fiddle accompaniment. Melody brilliantly plays a wide variety of different characters as she weaves her delightful heartwarming and comical story. This play debuted at Summerworks Performance Festival, was part of Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre’s 2012 season and is now on tour.

NOVEMBER 4, 7 PM- NEW SEASON PREVIEW- This is another free event. Come and see a video preview of the artists in the Winter Spring 2014 Season. There will be some live entertainment with DDT a band made up of Dave Sinclair, Dave Tupper and Ted Pechey. This groups play favourites from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. After the season preview, enjoy coffee and dainties in the lobby.
