The best under-14 aged boys and girls fastball teams in Canada will compete in Prince Albert this summer for a Western Canadian title.

The host committee is pleased to announce the 2013 Pee Wee Western Canadian Softball Championship will be played at Prime Ministers Park and Crescent Acres diamonds from August 2-5th.

Up to 16 boys and girls teams will participate in this event; six from Saskatchewan and ten other teams from across Western Canada, Ontario and possibly Quebec. The Astros Boys team and Aces Girls team from Prince Albert will be the host teams for this tournament.

The title sponsor for the tournament is the Northern Lights Community Development Corporation. “One of the mandates of NLCDC is to give young people the opportunity to excel and grow in sports and recreation and with this we are proud to be a part of the 2013 U-14 Softball Championships,” said Alphonse Bird, NLCDC general manager.
