Prince Albert Raiders 4 at Moose Jaw Warriors 2

The Prince Albert Raiders took the opener of a home and home series against the Moose Jaw Warriors last night.

The Raiders beat the home team 4-2 at the crushed can.

The Raiders opened a first period lead with goals on goals by Brandon Herrod and Jordan Rowley.

With the game on the line Todd Fiddler scored in the first minute of the third period.

The rookie, and former warrior, Michal Hlinka got the insurance marker five minutes into the third.

There was no scoring for the rest of the game.

Mark McNeill played another outstanding game earning first star honors with a pair of assists on the night.

Eric Williams was also a tower of strength, as he stopped Sam Fioretti on a second period penalty shot, making several great saves on his way to a 29 save performance.

The final score in Moose Jaw was 4-2 for the Raiders.

The next on ice action is 7:00 p.m. tonight at the Art Hauser Centre.
