Prince Albert and Area Community Kitchen Partnership is Looking for Leaders

Nov 6, 2011 | 2:45 PM

Want to make a few extra dollars, meet new people and get involved in your community?

The Prince Albert & Area Community Kitchen Partnership is looking for new people to help lead its growing number of community kitchens in and around the city.

Community Kitchens work with people of all backgrounds to help them plan, budget and prepare healthy, low-cost meals for themselves and their families. Kitchen leaders are needed to work with local groups as they cook meals together and learn valuable nutrition, budgeting and meal planning skills.

Kitchen leaders work approximately six hours each week and help with cooking sessions, planning and food shopping. Leaders must know their way around the kitchen and be capable of effectively leading a group. Training sessions are also available for new kitchen leaders.
