PACI 2016 students excited for new chapter after grad

For the 106th time, Prince Albert Collegiate Institute (PACI) celebrates a milestone in the lives of its graduates.

A total of 22 students received their diplomas at E.A. Rawlinson Centre today, June 28.

“Your future should not just be good enough; I challenge you to be great,” Principal Dawne Adams, said in her commencement speech. “Remember you don’t have to be smarter than the next person. All you have to do is be willing to work harder.”

Adams said the school and staff are proud to see the graduates walk across the stage. She said hard work and not quitting helped these graduates over the years and the milestone will help students in life’s next chapter.

“They each have their own personalities and stories and they will carry that into the future,” she said.

One of these year’s graduate is Jessica McLeod. The valedictorian said she is honored to give the speech at the ceremony.

“I did try hard and I am honoured,” she said. “I like being able to say I finally did something that I can hang on the wall and be proud of for the rest of my life.”
