The Friends of the Park is hosting a Gala, A Tribute to the Environmental Legacy of Grey Owl and Anahareo on August 24th, which will be here quick.

The Friends of the Park has decided to host many events in months and years to come: to support our book and gift store, to support our programing within the P.A.N.P. and last but not least, to support the Waskesiu Community.

The Friends of the Park has a rich heritage of serving Waskesiu and the P.A.N.P for the past 31 years.

Please support The Friends of the Park by purchasing tickets to the Tribute and by donating an item to the silent auction.

It is going to be a night to remember. Please see attached poster.

Those who purchase Tribute tickets will also have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the 15th Anniversary of the Grey Owl motion picture Waskesiu Premier, which is being played at the Twin Pine Cinema August 23rd at 2:30 pm, including guest speakers TBA, as well as first opportunity to purchase tickets for the Authors Event, which will also feature live music the evening of August 23rd. Further details to be announced shortly.

In the past year the Friends of the Park has hosted 2 events, which have been totally sold out, and due to limited seating at the Community Hall, the Tribute event is also expected to sale out.

Grey Owl and Anahareo legacies have benefited all of us socially not to mention economically (Waskesiu business owners).
