Celebrating Peace in Our Community

What is this event?

The Celebrating Peace in Our Community Event is to show community support in working towards a safe and peaceful community.

We have youth, organizations and community groups attend to show their full support in working towards a safe and peaceful community. Our schools and various workplaces have initiatives in place that educate in many areas, for example in regards to bullying and harassment. We are proud of the people of Prince Albert and the continued work that is being done. Provincial support is necessary in the work we all do so we have invited dignitaries.

There is a Support Our Police and Peace Officers Walk as part of the event. This walk is a similar idea to the Support Our Troupes Initiatives. It is in recognition of National Police and Peace Officers Day that allows us to remember the police and peace officers that lost their lives in the line of duty. We also thank the Police and Peace Officers for the work they do to protect and keep community members safe.

We are inviting anyone in Prince Albert and area to attend the event which starts at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre at 9:30 am on Thursday, September 25th, 2014.
