Kidzfest takes over Kinsmen Park

Jul 19, 2018 | 5:12 PM

The annual Kidzfest returned to Kinsmen Park Thursday afternoon, and there was no shortage of things for parents and kids to see or do.

There was live entertainment on the Kinette Amphitheatre stage as well as a plethora of games in the park including a hammer hit, a Crow Conk, and mini-golf. Jessie Bush brought his young daughter to the park and said he was very thankful for the city putting on events like this.

“It doesn’t cost anything and it allows people to come out and get together as a community,” he said.

The lineups at the face painting and balloon animal tents appeared to stretch for miles. Tanner Lajeunesse said the most popular request of the day was his famous twisty hat.

The annual event was made possible through support from Northern Lights Communuity Developmen Corporation, SIGA, the High Noon Optmist Club, saskTel and the YWCA.
