Prince Albert’s Drew Warkentine was involved in a multi-league trade on Tuesday.

Warkentine was traded from the SJHL’s Melfort Mustangs to the AJHL’s Lloydminster Bobcats in exchange for 1999-born forward Jacob Tibbatts, and 1999-born defenceman Andrew Liwiski.

Warkentine, 1998-born forward, started last season with the Raiders and got in two games with the club. He then joined the Mustangs and in 35 games, Warkentine scored 31 points and registered 135 penalty minutes.

The Bobcats are full of Raiders’ connections. Former goaltending consultant and assistant coach Kelly Guard joined the Bobcats this offseason as an assistant coach. Raiders prospect Tyler Lowe is on its current roster, as are former Raiders Nick Sanders and Brock Sottile.
