Gas prices not reflected in crude five week low

Aug 4, 2011 | 12:39 PM

The price oil has hit a five week low, but that doesn’t necessarily reflect what you pay at the pump.

As of August 4, gas was selling for 122.9 a litre at most places in Saskatoon and 123.9 in Regina.

Analyst Roger McKnight does expect the price at the pump to fall.

“Once the hurricane season finishes, which is mid-October, then prices may come down,” said McKnight.

McKnight says typically that for every two dollars crude drops gas should fall by about a cent.
